Week #14

I am completely done animating.  Hooray!!!  I am so excited to be just rendering, and Jeremy has about half of my film scored.  This is definitely an exciting point in my film.

Here is some completed shots:

Week #13

Animating as always, and I was able to get 7 shots completed.  In addition, I was able to get more than half of my film rendered, which is going to save me a lot of time in the end.  I also have all of the shots that I have rendered in an After Effects and comped together with the depth pass.

Here are some shots I have completed:

Here a rendered still:

Week #12

This was definitely my most productive we animating.  I was able to get 11 shots completed.  I am not completely happy with them because I was not able to get the best quality animation, but I believe some of the shots came out nice.  The most painful part of this process is the set because as I am finishing shots I have to put the buildings in the correct spot.  This turned out to be quite an awful thing.

Here are a couple shots I completed:

Week #11

Still chugging along on the animation.  I was hoping to get 10 shots done, but I was only able to get 7 shots done.  I miss blocking out my animation!  I haven't really run into much trouble as far as animating goes.

This shot came out nice.  I used a lattice to deform him so that he looked squished when he hits the window. There is some nice drag as he slides down the window.

Here are a couple shots I completed:

Week #10

I was able to get five shots done this week, and I am really making progress on my film.  I am doing the shots in order from start to finish because as soon as I complete shots I am giving my most updated story reel to Jeremy, so that he can work on the music. The film is coming along, even though I am unhappy about having to animating the film straight ahead.

Here a couple shots I completed:

Week #9

I have been spending a lot of time on this film, and I believe I am starting to gain momentum.  The critique forced me to see that the pace has to pick up, and I need to spend a lot of time over the break catching up on the film. I am also meeting with Jeremy today, so we can discuss the music because he is going to work on it as I go because it is vital for my film.

Here is a link to music style I am looking for:
Inspiration for Music

I was able to complete another shot.

Here is the updated version of my story reel:

Week #8

I was able to complete a couple other shots.  I did find out that there is no texture on the bus stop signs.  So I need to go back and texture the signs.

Just a quick shot of the sign.

Here is a shot of him falling asleep. Not sure if it is all too fast.

This shot is ready to render.

Week #7

I was able to complete a couple more shots this week, but I am not entirely sure that they are ready to be rendered.  I know that they won't be my best work because I am rushing through the animation.  Instead blocking it out, I am just animating in spline.  For doing that I am decently happy with the animation.  I think that I will pick a couple shots to master for my demo reel.

This walk up came out pretty good for no blocking.

Week #6

I have begun to animating.  Finally!  So, I have got a couple shots done, on top finishing the first of two run cycles.

I have some basic shots done, but I have come to find that I am a little rusty at animating.

The next is the completed version of my run cycle.

Week #5

The set has been placed, and I decided to set up each camera as I work along.  This week I have begun working on the run cycle.  It is coming out fairly good, but it definitely works.  The only thing left from last week that needs to be done is my ground plane being textured, but i will get to that.

This definitely needs some work.

Week #4

This week I was supposed to have all modeling, texturing, and rigging complete.  I am about 90% close to finishing this goal.  I only have to texture a few things, but I have completed the rest of my milestone.  I am reasonably happy with the way that my sets turned out.  I need to find a way to break up the set a little bit.
I want to texture the ground plane different.  That is the only texture that bothers me.

Final Semester: Entry #3

I have had some very productive couple of days working on my film at school.  Over this past weekend, my computer has decided to just "blue screen".  I brought it with me today and thankfully Frank is going to help me fix it.  If not I will be here all weekend, NO EXCUSES.  I have only a couple of  modeling and texturing things to do and I will be finally able to animate! Yay! I am happy with my progress so far and will hopefully be back on schedule by the end of today's class.

Final Semester: Entry #2

I started well, and have productive first couple of days.  However, with being sick for all of last week I slipped behind yet again.  So I have been working hard to catch myself up these last couple of days.  I was thinking I should probably be caught up within the next two weeks.  I am continuing to work with Jeremy on composing the correct music for my film.  So, on top of the 3D work I have doing, I am also very carefully tweaking the timing of my story reel, as well as, adding drawings where necessary to help Jeremy as much as possible.  I am going for a Looney Tunes style of music, so the timing has to be just right so that he can do the music to my animation.
